Sun Jade Vietnam Footwear Ltd.

Sun Jade Vietnam Footwear Ltd. in Thanh Hoa City, with 9,400 workers, joined the LABS program on March 12, 2020. A January 8, 2021 assessment found 33 safety issues, including high temperatures in electrical panels and inadequate fire safety measures. The factory, with the LABS team, swiftly addressed severe issues and implemented monthly thermographic scans. Key remediation steps included relocating chemical storage, installing fire-rated separations, upgrading sprinklers, and establishing loading plans for the second floor, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
